application for an additional TN online or by mail

I am a Canadian professional working in US, I currently have 2 TNs, and is considering to start another PT job soon, can I make a new TN application by mail or online for this PT job ? I have renewed one of my current TNs online recently. Do I have to wait for its approval before I can start working ? Can I start working and defer the pay until its approval ?

You may apply either at border or by mail for the TN; you must have it in hand before you start job.

Deferal of payment means nothing. It would be illegal WORK.

How long does it take nowadays to apply for an additional TN by mail ?
If I go to the boarder to get this new TN (my 3rd one), do I need to bring anything for the current 2 TNs ?

Today may take 2 weeks. After Oct 1st ,probably the normal 2-3 months.

The border is best. You should simply have your 2 other I-94s with you.
