AP renewal Question

We applied for I-485 in June 2007. We've EAD & AP valid until Sep'08 & Oct'08 respectively. We went to India & my self & kids entered US on AP while my husband came back on H1. I work on EAD (formerly on H4)

My Question is:

1. Is it necessary to renew AP for all of us ?

2.What happens if we do not renew AP ?

3.In case if we travel outside US after the current AP expires, can we (myself & kids, who are parolees) return back on H4 visa by getting our PP stamped.

3. Since I work on EAD(hence, do not have H4 status, though I've approved H4 petition until yr 2010), is it mandatory for me to come back on AP in the future or I can enter on H4 (by stamped visa in my PP) & work on EAD (after returning to US).

My Question is:

No need, as long as you don't plan to travel. It's not a renewal but a new AP so don't pay money unless you need to travel. The downside is that if you need to travel for an emergency, you might not get it as soon as you want it.

2.What happens if we do not renew AP ?

You won't be able to travel till you renew it. No punitive action from the USCIS, if that's what you mean.

Not sure, but I don't think you can. Since you're on the EAD, you cannot. Also since your kids have come back on AP, I don't think they are on an H4 status any more. You're all parolees and have given up/lost the H4 status.

Once again, I'm not 100% sure but I don't think you can.

2.What happens if we do not renew AP ? Nothing

3.In case if we travel outside US after the current AP expires, can we (myself & kids, who are parolees) return back on H4 visa by getting our PP stamped. Yes for sure and this is the way people who used their EADs and want to convert back to H (suppose the H1 and subsequently the H4 status is still valid and the employer keep sponsoring the H)
