AP/EAD app without I-140 approval

Hi, my I-485/I-140 was recently filed concurrently & I just recieved my I-485 reciept. My I-140 has not been approved yet. Can I send in my application for EAD/AP at this point? Or should I wait for my I-140 approval before applying for EAD/AP?

---yes file for EAD AP, you could have filed with I-485
Or should I wait for my I-140 approval before applying for EAD/AP?
---send it now but dont use EAD till your I-140 gets approved to be safe because if I-140 gets denied then EAD,AP I-485 all get denied

Thanks for the info. Is a copy of the I-485 reciept sufficent or do I need the I-140 reciept also when submitting my EAD/AP application?

For EAD: I-485 filing reciept Copy ( if you have I-140 filing reciept copy then attach that also it does not hurt ) copy of I-94 (front and back) 2 passport style photographs, Color copy of your first page of Passport that has your name,Photograph, Passport # DOB on it, Color Copy of your Driving licence, Pay the correct fees, fill and sign the I-765 form. on the cover letter write what is attached. mail the papers to Service center where your I-485 is pending with certified return reciept, out side the envelope write in Big bold letters : Form I-765 for EAD based on Employement based pending I-485
 
My I-485 was filed based on employment. Should I be mailing my EAD+AP application to the Service Ctr where my I-485 was filed or to the Chicago lock box?
