I just received a notification letter from Nebraska that my I-485 application is transferred to the local office in Chicago for "speed processing". I need to apply for a new AP (Advance Parole). How do I go about applying for one now?
The information on the INS website says the following: "To apply for Advance Parole, complete Form I-131 (Application for Travel Document) and bring it, in person, to the Chicago District Office. Applicants should bring with them a picture identification, two passport-style photos, receipt for I-485 adjustment application (if applicable), and appropriate fee.
NOTE: Applicants who have a pending employment-based I-485 must request Advance Parole from the Lincoln Nebraska Service Center where such applications are processed."
So my question is: Do I mail in the I-131 (Application for Travel Document) to the INS Service Center in Nebraska?
Thank you for any input especially from somebody who was in such a situation.
