AP and EAD question

Our I485, AP and EAD were submitted in Sep. 2002 after we submitted I140 in Apr. 2002. Now we've just gotten AP, but nothing else. Would any one kindly tell me whether AP is related to EAD in any way during the application? Thanks a lot.

And another thing, the iEAD someone's talking about, can I use that to work as the formal EAD? Thanks.

AP is related to EAD and 485.
Anyway, find your receipt number for the EAD and check the status online or by calling the INS number.
Yes you can get an interim EAD in the nearest district office (need I485 receipt copy, EAD receipt and drivers license) and use it for employment..

We just received my EAD card this morning -- about 5 month after we filed I-765. I won't worry now. The I-140 and I-485 will get aproved. It's only a matter of time.
