Congratulations!
Could you share with us your time frame? What was the USCIS office you applied in?

AOS and dv-05

I'm also winner of dv-2005 and my # AS40xx. I'm thinking to apply by next month, so please give me some more information for AOS through DV. What do I need to do to apply? Do I have to have attorney? Please share your experienced.

nefertiti, how did you check your fingger prints status on line? could you give me a tip. i took finger prints in the middle of march.
thanks

Thank you nefertiti and CONGRATULATIONS with your permanent resident status!!!!!

P.S. Your detailed account of AOS and interview was very interesting, informative and educating. Thank you for taking time to write about it.

Tahachal,
Since your number already became current. you should not waist your time. do not wait until next month. Apply AOS as soon as possible for you.
sounds like your are from NEPAL, if i am not wrong.
thanks and good luck

Yes, I'm from Nepal. My employment base case has been pending at Atlanta office after approval of my I-140 since last May. Actually, my I-485 was transfer from TX to Atlanta for interview. I had 2nd Finger Print on March 31, 2005, and it has been more than 2 weeks and I have not heard anything from them. According to FBI, they sent our Finger Print Reports same day. I don't know what is going on and how long I have to wait.

After I won DV-2005, I consult several attorneys and even I spoke with INS officer in local office and 1-800, and all they told me to stick with my current EB case. They also told me EB case is more stronger than DV???? Also, they mentioned I have to withdraw my current I-485 if I filed DV for AOS.
Still, I don't know what should I do? Time is runnig out.

you can have two concurrent cases. I'd apply if I were you. If I wint the lottery this year, I will apply despite my marriage-based AOS.
