Hi,

I currently use EAD, Visa from my previous H1 on the passport expried and i could not renew, as I used EAD.

1. Anyone travelled to India with expired visa on the passport and have a valid AP..

2. Also, my FP expires March 1st week. I do not think, i will be getting notice for 2nd FP before I leave in Feb as at that time, it is not expired.
So when i come back in March, will it be a problem with expired FP??..

Please share your experiences, i need to go home ASAP..

Thanks in advance.

I have travelled to India with an expired H1 visa and a valid AP. No problems, was a smooth process. They will stamp your passport and AP upon re-entry.
Have a safe and happy journey.

I was in same situation when I travelled India last year. It went smooth.

What did they write on your I-94,
what is mean by paroled until Aug 20, 2004. Do we need to renew I-94 after this date?

Just being extra Cautious

Hi guys, Many thanks for your response.

Just being extra Cautious. that's all.. Hope my trip will be smooth as you all said.

RealCanadian: You deserve to be approved, I don't follow the transfer thread, but I know your case was transfered a long time ago, and still waiting for interview date.. Well, Good Luck to you..
Hope you are not thinking about your interview date everyday and enjoying your life at core. Your contribution to the board is well appreciated.

vigneshbabu,
Our RD is around the same as yours. My wife travelled twice on AP to India since applying for I-485 in Aug '02 and she has had absolutely no problem at the POE (Chicago, both times). However depending on your travel route, you may need transit visa (for the return leg of the journey) if you are flying through UK.

Hope this helps.

Hi vigneshbabu,

I also had expired H1 and was travelling on AP.

I re-entered on December 26th and my FP1 was in sometime September (The online entry says, the results of FP were received on September 27 blah blah ).

So not sure if my FP was valid when I entered, not sure if it is valid 15 months from the date you go for FP or BCIS gets the results?

Anyway, it was smooth. Had to go for secondary inspection but there were no questions asked there.
