Anybody with 2nd FP recieved on 18th Aug

Don't wait for the approval letter and make the appointment. If you don't get the letter in time, u have 2 choices

1. cancel the appointment.
2. The attorney receives the original approval and you get the courtesy copy. If your attorney gets your approval, you can take the original for stamping in case . That's what my attorney advised.

correct. Earliest available in SFO is Sept. 13. Hopefully you will get the letter before that. From other threads, seems it takes about 4-5 days to receive the approval notice.

Online message updated today as "on Sep 1st this case was approved"

congrats to those who got approved. My situation is different:

WAC02276*****
RD 09/02 (full two years waiting right now)
2nd FP done 8/14/04
Status changed within a few days

Then on 8/21/04 my case got transferred to the local SF office, and they will schedule an interview. I'm fuming. Based on what I've seen elsewhere in this forum, it will take months for SF local to schedule the $#@!*!# interview.

Saw the magic emails this morning, and checked that the website has also been updated with the golden words. My timeline is as follows.

June 2000 : labor filed
Nov 2000 : labor approved
Nov 2000 : I-140 filed
Feb 2001 : I-140 approved
Feb 2001 : company closed down, couldn't file I-485 because PD was not current for EB3
Feb 2001 : joined another company
Dec 2001 : labor filed
Sep 2002 : company decided to abandon labor
Dec 2002 : LC substitution, I-140 and I-485 concurrent filing
Jan 2003 : 1st FP
Mar 2003 : I-140 approved (one RFE)
14 Aug 2004 : 2nd FP (scheduled for 9/18/2004)
18 Aug 2004 : FP received
8 Sep 2004 : I-485 approved

Words escape me as I try to express my heartfelt thanks to all who have contributed to this forum and its cause ...

I had my 2nd FP done on Aug 19th (delayed by 2 weeks due to skin cut) and online status shows we got approved today! :) :)
They received the fingerprints back from FBI on 1st and they approved the appln on the 3rd.

My LUD got changed to 9/08

My attorney made phone enquiry on 9/07 and found out that my file was given to an officer on 1st Sept. Today i found my LUD changed to 09/08. Any thoughts how long it going to take?
