Your information is very helpful. This is what I wanted to know.

My driver license is expiring in August 2005 as per my H1 validity. But after that I will need to renew it based on EAD. I will miss 2-3 months if 3rd EAD gets approval real soon. Don't know what to do....Anyway I and my spouse will be in trouble because of this license issue.

Sorry to cut in. Did not mean to do that. I recently got EAD3 and they did not extend it for 1 year from the date of expiration of EAD2 (EAD2 expires 02/05), but instead gave a validity of 1 year from the date of approval 10/25/04. Did early EAD to renew my driver license (need at least 1 year validity in PA), but may get into a fix unless I get adjustment in the next 3 months.

I guess its the day they print the actual card/approval notice that it becomes effective. Sorry about this Drivers' licence issue.
 
krsn1, thanks for the suggestion.

I have called and left a voicemail for my lawyer, although I know not to expect much from that end. My lawyer is not exactly the "following up" type, He's more like we are done with your case, we filed everything we got our money.. now we sleep tight till we get a response type.

I am also thinking of contacting senators. I just called USCIS again, they basically said I can open another inquiry in 60 days or write to CIS directly but that I am going to get the same response.
 
just called chuck schumer's office in NY

I went to chuck Schumer's website and realized his NY office is half a block from my work. So called in to see if I could do a walk in, "NO" I am told, I need to give them my name and address.. and the lady who was talking to me as if I was 5, was about to hang up, I questioned if she needed my A# or my EAC# to track it. Then she almost lost her patience with me.. but i guess she pitied my lack of sense and regained control explaining to me that she's going to mail me the form and I have to fill in that form and mail it back, in that form I have to put in all the info and they'll send that request to USCIS.-- I actually got the form from the website but now I am wondering if that's such a good idea after all. The website has the form for any pending requests with USCIS within US, and it says allow 12 weeks for a response, they even have a statement on how USCIS is inundated with applications and so forth..

=== submitted the webform online on Senator Hillary's website, after hitting submit, it said "thanks for expressing your views" Now I am hoping they don't put the form down as just my views but actually follow up and act on it.

Guys the issue unfortunately is not who contacts which senator, I think the most important point we should concentrate on is to find out why VSC is not processing 2002 cases.
Maybe we can talk to someone -I don't know if a lawyer is good enough for this- to find out what the deal is? Why did they suddenly switch to 2003/2004 cases? There have to explain this. We all have lawyers it could be in the thousands just for 2002 cases; how come they don't question this?
I am so puzzled to see what's going on... People don't you have any good ideas... There has to be something we can do...

I agree with you, What do you suggest we do. We can get a count of all 2002 waiters, write a letter signed by everyone and send it to USCIS Director? Just thinking out loud..
 
Congrats!

Your AP will be collected back while you take your passport stamping in local USCIS office. And you can free to travel if you got the stamping.

(my spouse initiated enquiry recently) now, online message changed to ..

On November 3, 2004, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

for both my and spouse's case.

If it is query for employent verification, it should be only for me. But it is for both, what it can be?

Any guess...or experience?

I don't know if my signature is confusing, MY 485 is still pending. I have been approved for my 3rd EAD and AP.

I hope its for pictures, I have been wondering what they do in terms of pictures to get on the new card since the pic reqs have changed. at least it looks like they are ready to move forward once you provide them whatever it is they are asking for.

Hi all, I was wondering if there was anyone else in similar boat as me. I found this thread. I am beyond paranoia and frustration as well while I see many of the people that I know/hear here from 2003 getting approvals. Other than inquiry, congressman/senator etc, it appears that we cannot do much. You guys think have other ideas?

Hi neighbour, I'm 2 blocks away from Chucky. I got the inquriy respond saying your case is delayed due to lack of manpower, don't know when ...

I also sent the form to the senator and no response yet. Called FP, done months ago, emailed FBI name check, no response. Any ideas?

Where do you work, I am in 750 3rd Ave.

I would say keep following up with FBI, at least get confirmation that that's done. In my case, FBI completed Name check only after I started followingup, I used to call and leave voicemail every week and sent a fax as well. Iknow the phone is not in service now, but I believe an email has been set up. Do write to them explaining that you have been waiting for your processing for over 2 years, while you understand that the check may not be pending at their office for all this time, it is crucial for you to get this done before your wait can be over.

p.s I guess follow up with senators office every week too. Hillary is right next door to chuck too.. but i would say stick to one. I should technically have gone to Schumer due to my location ( I live in queens).

My email to FBI was successfully dilvered, but never got a read confirmation.

How long does senator office gives response, at least say got your stuff (some say a case #)? If I just call them, how the hell are they going to verify my stuff amongst all the junk mails?

Actually I never called them, just got the form off their website and mailed it. Isn't the form on Hillary's site sit together with comments on my website? It probably went to webmaster instead.
 
485 - RFE details

For primary applicant : Letter from current employer, last 2 years W2, last 2 months pay stubs, last 2 years income tax returns

and Medical for both.

Recently I resigned from current employer (who filed GC) and joining new one by next week. Done with all other formalities but joining date in in next week.

Will it be a problem? Will new company give the letter I need with hiring date, duties description, salary and prospect of continued employment?

Going to talk to very good attorney for AC21. Because my case is complicated. I switched job in 2003 and got laid off because of merging with another company. Then joined the previous employer (who filed GC) and now got permanent offer with very good company with rate specified in Labor so already resigned from current one and will join new one by next week.

Please share your experience / suggestions.

Got my EAD 11/5 and AP on 11/8,

Both EAD and AP are effective from the approval date, So I'm going to lose a couple of months since they were both expiring in Early Feb.
 
I got approval emails!

I got approval email for my I-485 from USCIS website today. I just received my AP in the mail yesterday and EAD on Friday, SO USCIS just wanted my Money? Anyways, I hope these approval emails are true and I am not going to complain about the EAD/AP fees.

Thanks for your wishes, too. But for me, approval in this month is impossible because of RFE. I can't send Response within a month so at least it will take next 2-3 months before final approval.
