Any news from IL SESA?

No Title

you mean filed at SESA on 24th August or moved to FED on August 24th. This appears very surprising because every one is talking about June cases and you are talking about August case, that too getting cleared in a month. Could you please post the details? Thanks in advance.
 
What\'s IL SESA current processing date?

Have anyone lately contacted the SESA to check which they are cases adjucating?

I believe that April 30 was the deadline for 245(i) applicants to file for their processing ... and so there is supposedly a large volume of applications to process before resuming regular RIR applications at the SESAs.

My filing date is May 1st with IL SESA ... and still waiting for some information. Still looks like IL is processing April 30 and prior...

Any new information from anyone??
 
Called IL SESA today, and still processing 4/30 cases

I called IL SESA with the slim hope that they might have moved beyond 4/30, as mentioned previously by ScrewedbyTexas. However, still the same old answer, 4/30 and no clue when will they move beyond the barrier. :(
 
lot of applications

My attorney tells me that SESA has a lot of applications to process in the months of April and May. I don\'t how many applications did they receive between those days. Its a cumulative effect of Reg.Cases(converted to RIR)+RIR cases received in the wake of 241(i). Does anybody know a ball park number of how many cases did they receive during these days?
 
A month ago I was told 8000 to 9000

When I called a month ago and asked the question I was told that they have a backlog of 8 to 9 thousands.
I asked also how long it will take them to clear all those cases I got a half-answer more than 3 months.
I was told two months earlier 2 to 3 months. Aviously noone knows. We can only monitor the SESA progress.

Good luck to all of you. Everyday I tell myseft take a time off this site and forget all those immigration problems for a while and hopefully in 5 months your LC will be cleared. But i haven\'t yet been able to do so.

Got an update from my attorney

I have filed my LC on May 10th and had asked my attorney to verify with the IL SESA for any updates.

This is what she heard from them:

They have still busy processing the applications that were filed on 4/30. They will do so for another month or so. They informed my attorney that she will hear about my case around mid. Nov. this year.

I agree that we should do something about IL time. What do we do to file a petition? How do we get fellow citizen\'s support amongst all the new developments? We filed my RIR EB2 application on May 12, 2001 and I do not even have a receipt. Has anybody gotten any receipt who have filed in May or later of 2001? Is the rumor about LC getting cleared in three months true with IL?
 
I am not expecting anything before next year.

Your lawyer is very optimistic. At this past I am not expecting anything from the IL SESA before next year.

Some good news in a sea of bad ones

I spoke this morning with someone at the IL SESA and was told that they\'re currently entering mid-may cases.
Thus the 4/30 wall is gone.

IL SESA processing MAY 15 !

This was the message that a friend of mine got from his lawyers. My application is May 1st, so I assume that IL-SESA is processing that as well.

On 10/15/2001, we have received the receipt notice for your labor
certification application.  Your priority date is 05/15/2001 and your case number is XXXXXXX.  The Illinois Department of Employment Security is currently processing cases received on or before 05/15/2001.  As soon as we hear that your case has been transferred to the U.S.  Department of Labor, we will let you know.

How long does SESA take before DOL?

Anyone know how long SESA typically takes before cases are transferred to IL-DOL?
 
Finally received PD from IL SESA

I received a similar message from Fragomen today with Priority Date ad 5/29. My case was submitted in in middle of May.

Wonder how long will it take to get approved by IL SESA and transferred to Chicago DOL.

Hi,
My RIR application was mailed to IL SESA in the end of June\'01. I still have a substantial wait, but sure am glad we are past the April 30th hurdle! I am surprised you guys are talking to SESA; my lawyer\'s paralegal told me not to do that or else \'risk getting my head chewed\' by SESA workers. Anyway, keep updating as new info comes in.
