AVM : on july 24 RFE response was rcvd, it will take 540 days to process you application as preliminary processing is completed.

The bad news is that you got a RFE but the good news is that your case has moved forward. Now all you have to do is send in the details and you will be approved in a week's time.
Look at the positive side my friend and you will feel much better. To make you feel even better just take a look at people like me who have no clue what in gods name has happened with there applications.

just called IIO
RD 7/18 ND 9/5
Just called a male IIO. His name is Jeff.
He said my case is delayed and it is transfered to another
department. When I asked if anything is wrong with my
case he refused to give any more details.
IIO's give conflicting answers. I got this answer in June.
Then when I called July 1 I was told case is with officer.
Now I'm given the old answer. So the INS horror continues.

Talked to an IIO yesterday. She told me that I should expect approval very soon. But she said that she couldnt find out if my case was actually with an officer. She asked me to call back if I did not hear anything in 30 days.

Man, this seems like never ending story.
1.Called IIO 10 weeks back, told your date is Sep 6, they are processing Aug1. It will take another 3-4 weeks to assign a officer. Argued on RD/ND , got the same old response. Thought its my destiny and can't argue on that. Hung the phone.
2.Called again after 1 month, IIO told its assigned to an officer and you should hear anything between 2-4 weeks. Thought my destiny is not that bad.
3.Called third time this monday, this time IIO made me totally depressed. Same old answer your is september case and we are processing 8/15. Totally pissed me off..but couldn't show my expression to her..listening quietly. Asked if this is assigned to an officer..."NO"..,Is 1-140 for CP causing this delay..."NO"..., my freinds in this time frame got approved already.."That does not mean your case is like them", does everthing looks good in my case..."YES"..,
I asked her my EAD is getting expire 09/12, should I renew it...."I WOULD SAY YES"
Nothing else was left to inquire, so I finally said thank you very much Mam.. I dont know what I got after talking to her.
But still optimistic our day will come.
