Why is that when I asked IIO regarding my case weather or not
assigned to an officer she replied I can\'t tell u that and I don\'t have that info with me.
Is there any reason why she told like that ?

Thank God my case and my wife\'s case got approved today ( 12/4/2001 ).
Details : PD: 1/13/2000
RD: 2/26/2001
I-140: 12/1/2000 for AOS
ND: 3/7/2001 EAC: 01-120-XXXXX
FP: 6/7/2001.
AD:12/4/2001.

No RFE. Talked to IIO 4-5 times in the last 2 months. case is with an officer for the last 1 1/2 months.
How many times you guys have called IIO ?. Do we have to do anything else other than calling these stupid people ?. I am getting frustrated every day.

Your I-140/cp
Try to call INS to see if they have your I-140. I saw people posting messages saying that their cases were delayed cause INS doesn\'t have their I-140 because they filed CP and then did AOS. Hope this help...

Approved Underlying Immigrant Visa Petition
The underlying immigrant visa petition must be approved prior to adjustment of status. If this is not a concurrent filing, the file should contain the underlying approved visa petition (Form I-130, I-140, I-360 or I-526). The I-485 may be adjudicated based on the I-797 Approval Notice if the Service was unable to obtain the petition after a diligent search was made.
I-797 is our copy of I-140 approval.
