Dear All,

Any body got approved whose RD for 485 is Aug 03. Please update this thread incase if its already approved or even if your FP1 or FP2 is already done.

Apart from the odd exception, I don't think that the VSC is close to processing August 03 cases currently. In fact, based on the 2003 tracker in the I-140 forum and on the info elsewhere in this forum there seem to be 3 "waves" of processing currently. The leading wave is possibly approving some (more straightforward?) April / May 2003 cases. The next wave is at about November 2002 and the trailing wave is mopping up cases which the first 2 waves passed over.

See also http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?p=911349#post911349 for an analysis of the VSC I-485 processing done by scanning the status of cases for various dates.

With luck, some 08/03 cases might start getting approvals in about 2-3 months but from what I can tell, the majority of 08/03 cases won't get touched for another 4-8 months and many will take even longer.

I have seen some approvals with RD of June 2003. Lets hope for the best. Does anybody know how many days it will take after the FP?

I received FP-I notice couple of days back. I didn't hear anyone from Aug '03 got his I-485 approved. I know, a few from Jan '03 got their approvals; I don't know, why processing date is still at Sep. 7th'02. Only those doing their 2nd FP, getting their approvals.

One of my friends has just called me and said his case is approved. His RD is Aug05, 2003 though. While I am still waiting and praying for mine.

Com'on I wish for those approvals as well. Everyone should get a reasonable time frame and while for 2002 filers timeframe is already unreasonable, now it is turn for 2003 filers to face the same fate :eek:

well said MD_Rockville. Although it hurts to see approvals way beyond your dates, we 2003 485 ND's also go thru the same feeling when we see FEB 2004 Approvals. Nothing against those guys. We wish them luck. Or maybe not luck ( because they have it :p ) but best wishes for the future.

Came home this evening and saw two letters from VSC in mail. Opened them and there they are APPROVAL NOTICES!!!

LUD still is 12/16/2004.

Good Luck to everyone out there that are still waiting on their approvals. Believe me patience pays.. and I am a firm beliver of that now..
 
I have a Aug 9, 03 RD and Sept 9, 03 ND and got approved recently, see my signature for details. Additionally check the 2003 tracker for more detailed info about the August cases, you will get much better picture than just asking here.
