i have been putting my life on hold, it has been 440 days since aos was filled ..rd. 6/14/02 and fp 7/21/02. EB2/pa

using ac-21 can i start my own company and then employ myself ..also i intend to move from pennsylvannia to arizona.

i have no problems in my current job but i am sick and tired of sitting in this rural backward part of PA ...full of hicks and dealing with "white Trash"...and i want to move on and be self empolyed.

I appreciate any encouragement/critique or general advice
 
You cannot sponsor your own GC from your own company. You need to work for others to do so. You can work part-time though.

AC21 (EB immigration in general) does not permit self-employment.
 
quick questions:
- can we be self-employed once we get the GC ??
- can we work in completely different field once
we get the GC ???
 
are you sure ??

assuming you already got GC from "EB" 485, then at POE, officers wouldnt care... evenif you are not emplyed at all ??????

minammmm,

If it isn't the very next day that you quit your job and stay home (which will bring into question your intent while applying under employment based category), you can be unemployed, if you can sustain yourself, after getting GC.

Now, if you ask me if I have ever seen a person who did this, the answer would be "No"

POE officers will not care what you do for living , even when ur in public charge and claim unemployment benfits.
