Another TN Visa question

Hi,

If I understand correctly, TN Visa is to work for a company at a particular location for 1 year, extendable by 1 year indefinetly.

Can a consulting company (i.e. a company that basically hires people and gets them projects in states other than where its head office is located) hire a Canadian citizen on a TN Visa?

Wouldnt that break on of the provisions of the TN, not working at a particular location?

The other question would be , If I am on bench (but getting paid), is that out of status as far as TN is concerned?

Thanks

TNs, unlike H-1Bs, are not location-specific.

Of course. I did so for several years.

Generally, no.
