I applied for a Reentry Permit by E-filling, system, I got the receipt by Internet, after four days they sent sent the I-797 Form
I know by this forum that I must send copy of my Green Card, two photos and copy of the receipt.
The question is: How can I know what documents I have to send? I have to wait for a Requests Letter? or I just send to the Nebraska address this 3 things?

Douls what did you send them?

Just send it don't wait. Attach a copy of confirmation that you got after e-filing. On the envelope write "Supporting Documents for I-131" . You can search for "mailing supporting documents" on USCIS web site also.

Hi alanchocolombia.

About your question I had send:
- Copy of my GC front and Back
- Copy of my State DL front page
- 2 passports photo.
- Application form.
-Check for $ 170.00

Your is different because you did a e-filing so you might call 1800 customer service their might schedule Bio for you so you don't need to send a photo or their might give more instruction before you waste your money for photo.

Good luck to everyone

At first for e-filing, USCIS made the applicant go to the service center to take photographs & signature for his/her I-131 Travel Document. However now you e-file and send them supporting documentation including pictures in the mail with the reference of e-file on top.

Wantmygcnow or anybody else who can answer my question:

Do residents really need reentry permit? As I understand residents just need passport and GC. A reentry permit is only if you stay out of USA for more than one year.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

International Travel (http://uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/PermRes.htm#travel)
A Permanent Resident of the United States can travel freely outside of the US. A passport from the country of citizenship is normally all that is needed. To reenter the US a Permanent Resident normally needs to present the green card (Permanent Resident Card, Form I-551) for readmission. A reentry permit is needed for reentry for trips greater than one year but less than two years in duration.

You are right. You just need valid NP & GC. However some have questioned if you should renew your NP. It is entirely up to you waht you want to do. AS Tort feasor pointed out, there is no where in the law that you can't renew your NP.

Its your opinion and how you want to pursue it.

Reentry permit is also for PRs who are unable to obtain NPs.
