I usually don't post in this forum, but I am doing it this time, because I think it is somewhat relevant. We have Amy Winehouse who is "allegedly" a very notorious drug abuser. She gets her visa to come to the United States denied. So far this is what should be done by the book. The media gets involved, there is an appeal and she magically gets the visa approved. This is so LAME!!! Of course, the millions in this country don't realize that usually people get denied and the appeals never work and that people with drugs record can't get into this country, but hey if it is a music star we can bend ourselves backward forget about the laws and make it look to the public as if we really cared and were able to show some leniency.

Sorry, I just had to vent about what looks to me like a great injustice to the hundreds of thousands of applicants that get denied entry into the U.S. for much less of what she has done.

agree with your comments 100%, it does seem it is not who you are but who you know, very unfair to others.

Rules are just that rules and should apply to her too

What would you expect... to be honest.... money and power always get your more everywhere in the world. That's why people want it so bad. But I do feel bad for others who get denied and who are unheard of....

150% on you with that one man. Money is power, power is everything to the US. But I don't see anything posted on CNN about her getting back into the US. Well not for now but am sure she will after she shows shes getting help and bla bla bla.

So she got approved over the weekend or what? Cause am not seeing she got approved yet. In the US if your no one outside of it, you won't be anyone. I have had it with my life as well. Trying to get back and what not. Started to write a book on my life last year, been in the news paper already. This week am asking the embassy for one last thing before I do something.

But someone with drug problems? I mean didn't Bush have a DUI and Canada let him in? Duh his president of the US. 50 Cent had a criminal record, and look at him, in Canada singing, doing videos in Europe, shotting movies getting richer and richer. Am not hatting on him or anything his actuly one of my favs. But you see its who you ARE, and how big you WALLET is.

And if you don't have both of those, work your way up the latter and be creative.
