You did a great job to do all of your GC by yourself. Why did your employer file your EB1-OR for you? Unlike Eb1a and NIW, EB1-OR is employment based, Your employer had to write an employment letter for you anyway. In my university, if they are willing to do EB1-OR for you, the international office people will do it for you.
I noticed a trend based on several cases last year( 4 DIYs and 3 through lawyers) that those DIYs got their FPs very fast, 2 of them got approved very fast too. The other 2 got their FPs in 6 weeks. While those 3 filed through lawyers are still waiting for their FPs.
The 2 approvals were in early 2002, at that time some cases were approved very fast. I guess now we can not expect that any more. TSC now is issuing tons of FPs for the older cases, so early FPs may do not have any advantages at all. I guess that we all have to 2nd FPs for sure if TSC starts to process the cases based on NDs.
I know that the sample size is still very small and does not mean anything so far so I am trying to get more information to see whether I am right or wrong. But I think that it is significant enough for me to propose the possibility.
