Am I eliible for H1B Transfer?

My employer says he sent a letter to INS to cancel my H1B 6 months back.

I checked my status(putting in my WAC #) and it says that my petition was approved on such-n-such date but nothing about the cancellation of H1B.

What if I make some paystubs and file for an H1B transfer to another company?
Will there any be any problem any one can see?

Please advise asap. god bless

Nothing wrong to apply for transfer. If your ex employer cancelled the h1 and it is in the INS system, then you are out of status. Still you will get a New H1 with out I -94, for that you have to go out of US and come back to start work.

The risk is, if counsel found that you are out of status 6 months in US, You know what will happen????

---- if the employer sent letter to revoke the H1 then USCIS has that info. It does not matter if online status still shows approved becase they sometime dont update online status, when you depat Us you have to give your I-94 and that goes to USCIS record and they will match that your stay was out of status. dont ask how consulate can find out, they CAN find every info about you , FYI if a person is coming to US they have advance info about the person.
