My US citizen husband is filing I-130 and I-129f for me (Canadian citizen) to enter the U.S.

On form I-129F , question 20 - "Your fiance(e) will apply for a visa abroad at the American embassy or consulate at: (City) (Country)

I live in Hamilton, ON. I have been told that Montreal is where you go for these interviews. is that still the case, and do I fill in Montreal, Canada in this space?

I believe the US Consulate in Toronto processes immigration visas.

My understanding is that only Montreal processes immigrant visas. But if there's an I-129F being filed, I assume your spouse is seeking a K-3 visa for you and you will do AOS in the US? In such a circumstance Toronto can issue a K-3.

Others may chime in, but it might be just as fast simply to get the immigrant visa in Montreal and skip the K-3.

The US consualte in Toronto will entertain the I-130 only if the petitioner lives in Ontario. The immigrant visa will still be issued by the US consulate in Montreal.

I believe the US Consulate in Toronto processes immigration visas.
