Got third FP today.
No clue what is wrong with BCIS.

FP1 Apr 02
FP2 Aug 03
FP3 Dev 03.
FP4 .....

Is someone at BCIS playing a joke on us ?
 
Got 3rd FP for spouse

Did 2nd FP on October 9'03. Applied for 3rd AP. No Approval. Lawyer notified me that he received 3rd FP notice which is scheduled for December 23'03.

today i did my 3-rd fp

today i did my 3-rd fp.
walk in in boston office on 170 portland st. around 11:30 - there was no line and went stright to the business- it took about 20 min.
FP3 was scheduled on Dec 26, but i've decided to do it early.
the whole 3-rd fp is probably a computer bug in their system , but i'm not taking any chances - i just do what i told :)

Could it be these reasons for 3rd FP :

1. status of the 2nd FP didnt get updated after FBI clearance
2 .Early 2nd FP


Are there any folks here who did not fall under these two scenarios and still recvd 3rd FP ?
 
Pressed the wrong key...

I just got my FP3 notice (for me an my wife). I think that they meant to be <<APPROVED>> and the co-op pressed the wrong key... :D

I'll try doing next saturday...

I-485 approved - But recvd FP notice ??

RD : Dec 18th 2001, FP2 done on Jul 2003 .My case was approved on Nov 17th 2003 and my spouse case was approved on Nov 25 th 2003 and i just recvd FP notices for me and my spouse .... Is this mandatory should we go for FP or can i just ignore or should i call my lawyer and seek his advice ... Is anybody on the sameboat as my case !!!!!!

I too got 3rd FP but when i spoke to IIO she doesn't know the details. She said same story current processing date jan15 bla ... bla .. bla ...
 
My RD is JAN 30 2002.
I have done my second FP in July 31 2003 and never updaed online status.
I got RFE on Nov 28 2003 and 3 FP on Dec 9 2003 and is updated
online status.
Don't what's going on ?
What we need to do with 3 rd FP ?

UPDATE

We just came back from USCIS office. The lady took 3rd FP notice we received for my wife and went in to check something. After few minutes, she came out in our waiting area to promptly apologize to us on behalf of USCIS for sending the notice by mistake. She also said that we could disregard this notice as my wife's 2nd finter printing report has been cleared the next day.

Update

Yes, this is a mistake. But I'll leave totally up to you to make that decision. The best thing is to call your local FP office where you are supposed to take your FP and see what they say.

BTW, in continuation from my posting yesterday, the latest update is we say the on-line message changed to "Approved" this morning.

I went to BCIS office yesterday to take my FP3 and the lady said I had to return in my scheduled date (1/16/2004). Luckily I had my FP2 receipts with me and I showed her telling that there should be a mistake. She promptly called a supervisor saying "Another case". The supervisor took my documents (FP3 notice + FP2 receipt) into an office and after a couple of minutes he came out apologizing for the mistake. He said my FP2 is ok and is valid until the end of 2004... He explicitly said that I don't need to do the FP3.

2FP notice in 07/03 and done in 08/03 earlier 1 week than scheduled date. Confimed VSC that my 2FP is clear in 09/03. Just got 3FP notice on 12/13/03, issued on 12/10/03, scheduled on 01/27/04.

I moved from NJ to PA 6 months ago. The 3FP was mailed to my new home add. I wonder if there is anybody who moved before and got 3FP at new home address.
 
Get 3rd FP notice

We got 3rd notice today for myself, my spouse and my child.

Our 2nd FP were done on August (scheduled on September).

Any sugestions?
 
my lawyer called last week. His assistant has talked to VSC and it turned out that the 3rd FP was a mistake so I can totally disregard the notice.
 
The Vermont Service Center (VSC) advised in mid December 2003 that multiple fingerprinting notices are being produced for some pending cases. The duplicate notices are a result of a computer glitch. Individuals who receive duplicate notices should just obtain the additional fingerprinting. If a person receives more than two notices, s/he may wish to have an attorney look into the matter.

Although not stated, we presume that the VSC is making efforts to correct this problem, to avoid expending limited time and resources on the part of the Application Support Centers responsible for fingerprinting.
