All VSC employment based applications went to NSC

Remain at VSC

Unless you've received a transfer notice from them, they will remain at VSC. My 485 was filed in 9/05 at VSC. They are processing 485s filed at VSC, although apparently very slowly :(

What about the ones received in July 2005? Are they sending them to NSC?

From what I concluded after talking to immi. officer - It seems that most of the applications that are still there at VSC have been stuck in some kind of security check (nothing to do with FBI or any othe routside agency) which they conduct internally - But what I can't understand is why all of sudden they (VSC) feel a need to conduct this internal securty check on all these applications - none of the other SCs seem to bother about it - then why os this happening only at VSC - it's really frustrating... Can anyone make any sense out of this and explain as to what's really might be happening...

Thanks

One interpretation

Murthy.com gives the following interpretation for the new dates and service levels. If VSC is showing an ND that is x months behind today's date (AND if they are meeting the service levels, whatever that means!), it will take upto x months for them to process a case. It also means that people whose ND is May 30, 2005 should be getting a decision soon if their PD is current. Even if PD is not current, they will do everything else, and as soon as the PD becomes current, they will get an approval.

So going by this logic, currently you should get a decision soon after your ND starts showing up on VSC website if your PD is current.

The lag is approximately 15 months currently.

Guys:

I am still trying to understand this statement from USCIS.

What is the committed service level of USCIS towards processing I 485s? Does any one know? Is it published anywhere? What do these new dates reflect. Does this mean that all cases ( in the case of I 485s), which have been recd by USCIS by may 30, 2005 have been processed or being processed? What do the dates in the new release mean?

Thanks

internal check

Aakash:

I doubt that there is a special internal check going on VSC. VSC has been consistently slow for the last several months, and that's why it is taking more time.

I called USCIS-VSC and inquired about my NC status. A nice laddy said that everything is ok with FBI and case is pending `cause they`re waiting results from another agency, other then FBI. Asked about the dates NC was cleared, she mentioned that it doesn`t show on her screen.
