I wish I could be so confident. I lose hope every day the mailman comes and nothing from USCIS in the Mailbox :-(

My guess:-

(1) In the red states, potential blue voters are being delayed by design
(2) In the blue states, potential red voters are being delayed by design

In all seriousness, I wish a speedy and favourable resolution to all pending N-400 applicants.

Don't despair. It took 1 week short of 4 months for my oath letter to come, even though there is absolutely nothing special about my case (not that I know of anyways). It was horrible going through the holiday breaks since I had all the time off to wait around for usps and then depair. Trust me, it will come.

If your case has been approved and you are waiting for the oath letter, then you might want to find out how many oath ceremonies each month in your district court. Also, how many people are allocated for each ceremony. Quantities and capacities of the oath ceremonies might be the problem.
 
did you check your city's court's oath schedule?

i was shocked to find out that there are only 2-3 days per month oaths are taken in Los Angeles and number of scheduled people changing from 19 thousand in February to 7 thousand in April. Considering that there is more applications in 2007 then 2005+2006 combined (1.4 million if i am not mistaken), 7 thousand oaths a month per district office - doesnt sound right at all...
