All 485 becoming current in April - Tracker

Same here. I was told that our name check was cleared almost 4 months ago and now I get a reply to my enquiry stating that the Name check is not cleared. This is very frustrating indeed.
I'm not as much troubled that I'm not getting the GC because there are lots of people in the same boat but the fact that they told me everything was clear and now learn something else... darn it!, is quite frustrating (wish one of these officers were in our shoe all the time they would really understand where we are coming from)

Though as per email from Mr. Williams my FBI name check is cleared.

Any idea on what should I do now ??

What is message that you got from CSC - Name check pending or FBI background check pending? I am trying to decipher if Name check and FBI Background check is same or different ?

Good point. Here is the exact reply I got. As you can see it say background security check.

I apologize for the misinformation but the principal applicant’s background security check has not yet cleared by the FBI as of this date. We regret to inform you that until the result is received the USCIS must suspend further processing on all cases. Thank you for your continued patience with this process.

Seems you & I are in the same type of situation, I have sent email to CSC asking if Name check is same as Background check (along with attachment of email from Mr. Williams that mentioned that Name check is cleared), I also plan to take infopass and try to talk to live person. Will keep you posted if any thing comes out of these two attempts.

Adding myself to this List!!

My PD became current in April Visa Bulletin. Case details below.

I sent an inquiry email to CSC XII 485 [CSC-XII.485@dhs.gov] last week (3/28/06) and got the following response today (4/4/06):

"The Principal applicants I-485 is still pending FBI name check clearance. Once the file has been cleared by FBI, all the riding applicants and principal will be adjudicated. The Service has NO control over how long it takes FBI to clear the case."

I also recd the same msg as yours from officer Bueno. What action have you taken for getting the name check cleared?? I've contacted my congressman as well as the senators but no response from them.
