have you done FP ? without FP your 485 cant be approved
You can also reschedule by 2-3 weeks (if you have not already done fp)

usually its not recommended, but this may be one option (delay your FP till your wife gets in)

Same here. Sent a query on 31st of March. Haven't heard back yet.

PD : April 2002 CSC EB2 Concurrent. RD May 2005.

Congratulations onemore_forGC!!!! So did you get a response to your email that your GC is approved or did you receive the USCIS emails (automated) stating that your GC is approved?

Looks like people who sent mails in the last week of May'06 are receiving replies. So there is still time for us to get the emails and eventually the approvals. Good Luck to all.

My priority date also current, july 2002, ed2, csc

email to CSC-XII.485@dhs.gov & request for Status of your case.

If you are from India your PD is not current in April but will be current in May. So send email around 1st May. If you are not from India your PD is current & you can send email now.

There was no response to email, only the approval emails. Nu LUDs either, except aftr approval. May be they thought that it was not necessary to send email reply.

I was also trying to call the 800 number. If you have your WAC # for 485 along with Alien number, the person on phone was ready to set up an enquiry. I did not have alien # handy. Try that also. Good luck!

Folks bad news for me..

received following from the Statsus enquiry from CSC-XII.485@dhs.gov

Unfortunately, the principal applicant’s background security check has not yet cleared by the FBI as of this date. We regret to inform you that until the result is received the USCIS must suspend further processing on this case as well as the dependents.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Though as per email from Mr. Williams my FBI name check is cleared.

Any idea on what should I do now ??
 
why dont u send them william's mail and demand an explanation ?

Also, if you dont mind, may I ask when did you send the mail ?

I just sent an email asking clarification with William's mail attached, most probably it will turn out to be some other sort of FBI check :(

I sent the previous email on 1st April.

Got the following response for my email which i sent on 01-APR-2006. My details are in signature.

WHAT! You had an earlier email stating your name check was complete and now this!!! Man - this news is killing coz I have an email that confirms name check is complete from Bueno. Gawd...

I too am quite frustrated, it seems that I am in some un-usual situation as I have not seen anybody else on this board running into this situation.

Any idea if background security check is different than Name check ???
