After H1 coming back on B1

My H1 is expiring in July and my labor is not 365 days old. But my company has office in India and are ready to apply for a B1 - Business visa. Is it possible for me to get a B1 if I go back to India and apply for B1 at US Consulate in India? What could be the problems? Is it possible for my company to apply it while I am here and change status?

Need some input from the great minds here on immigration.com

I understand that only after I apply I would know what could be the issues. I put up my question only to see if anyone has been through such a situation or if anyone with some knowledge of such a situation. I don't expect obvious answers.

Also my last question was that while I am in the U.S. till July this year, can my company apply for a B1(Business visa) for me and can I use it after my 6 years to conitinue to stay and work in the U.S.?
