Hello Guys !

I got my green card around one week ago with Dv Lottery 2023 (AOS)

My previous status is F1 status in Language School

I'm still going to school but it will be finish in 2 weeks

Do I need to continue school and also my school needs to update any information about me in the sevis system or something else etc.?
 
Congratulations on getting your GC. At this point, you do not “need” to continue schooling in order to maintain your status. However, if you only have two weeks left to complete your program, you might as well stay put and finish up. There’s no harm in notifying your school of your new status.

I notify my new status to school but they say

“we don’t need to change anything in sevis system
or we don’t need to update your new status in system”

my attorney said they need to update your information etc.

thats why I wonder

do they need to do anything ?
 
They should update your information in the system if you’ve informed them of your new status. Maybe they feel it is not necessary since you only have two weeks left.
