After FP how long does it take for 485 approval??

Hi,
I would like to track on an average, how long does it take for a person to get his 485 approval after his FP/FBI has been cleared.

Those you have already done FP, could you please discuss your dates 485RD, FP dates and any updates on LUD.

This way, we would atleast see how the processing goes forward for 485 cases approval.

Mine is Oct 2003, FP completed Oct 2004, 140 already approved and LUD(485) changed in November 1st, 2004.

Appreciate all your feedback!!!!
 
I believe, the general expectation is that you should hear back from CIS after/within (max) 2 or 3 months after you have submitted your FP. At least, thats what I gather from my friends (who got approvals) and the posts here.

I think these days it is the Sep 2003 FPs that are getting approvals. So, your (and mine :) ) turn should come in a month or two. Good luck.

I'm not sure if the approvals are based only on the FP date rather on ND date ... it's true that there were NDs from Sept 2003 that were approved but were isolated cases not the rule ... so far the bulk of approvals is somewhere at the beggining of July 2003 (ND based)

FP and LUDs dont mean a shit, if the approval will come to you, it will soon or later, other people's approval dont do any thing on yours. u think u can predict ur approval? I can, wait another two years.

Thanks Singh. Yeah I just saw it and gave him a blow.. That A** Hol* was online and once my message was posted, he logged off.. I think he got the shit out of his ass once he read my mail..

WantGC... I am in the same boat ...140 approved....485 ND Aug 12 2003....FP completed on Oct 06 2004.... 485 LUD changed 10/28 10/29 2004.....

Waiting for 485 to come through... Surprised that 485 are getting processed for Jul 03....I havent seen much approvals for Jul 03...

Thanks Ricko, for updating your info. Yeah I have seen some approvals like dash durai who has ND for 485 October 2003 and got his approval in about 3 weeks after FP. Can we atleast expect around 2-3 months time frame?
 
Stats...

Based on the 2003 excel tracker, here are some stats:

1) For all guys who did their FPs in 2004, they got their 485s on an average of 81 days.

2) All those who did their FP's on or after April'04, their 485s came on an average of 32 days.

2) All those who did their FP's on or after Sept'04, their 485s came on an average of 11 days.

3rd FP-Nov 9th.Still waiting for the damned card.....

Remember, these are based on all the cases that are in the tracker and may not represent all the cases pending with USCIS. We need to encourage more ppl to go and update the tracker so we can estimate better.

Also these are cases who got 485 approvals, I didn't include the cases where ppl have their FPs done and are still waiting for the 485s, so these numbers don't mean anything. :rolleyes:

Notice date March 27th, 2003 I-140 approved and Second Finger Print done on Oct.21st,2004 and waiting...............How long???
