I am tired of carrying tons of documents from H1 to GC and all the proofs that go with it. After USC, can I shred all these docs and be in peace?

Also for say, if you were to have a baby in a foreign country, you need to show that you resided in US for 5 years (after age 14) to claim US citizenship for your new born.
How about buying a digital scanner, scan all those documents and keep electronic copies in a hard drive, couple of flash drives (keep one in a safe deposit), and proceed to shred them with a super shredder?
You have a better chance at winning a lottery than finding a need for those documents.
I would agree to still keep them too as above...but why does Al southner have to bring the GOP and politics to this question?
Do you think every immigrant is a democrat?
Please stay clear of politics and post only on facts.
And for your info, am neither a democrat or republican.
Thanks
