Finally, after 6 years being elligible to citizenship based on marriage (PR since 12/00), I have gathered enough courage and submitted my N-400 (VTSC).

I've been technically elligble to do it back in 12/03, but was arrested for a stupid road rage incident I got into. Long story short, the case was nolled in court, the charges were dimissed, but I decided to play it safe and wait a few years before applying. It's been now almost 6 years since the incident.

I've submitted the following documents along with my N-400 in connection to the incident:

1. Court certified disposition letter stating the charges were dismissed.
2. Superior Court Records Center certified letter attesting that the recored has been destroyed according to state laws (search by docket number).
3. Department of Public Saftery (State police) - certified letter attesting that no arrest record exists to my name
4. DMV driving history search showing no violations on my record.

The N-400 is on its way as of this past Saturday (02/28/09) - wish me luck. :o
