I need help in filling out Part 10 (Affiliations) in the N-400.

1. The question asked is "Have you ever been a member of or associated with any organization, association, fund foundation, party, club, society, or similar group in the US or in any other place?". Being a techie, I am a member of IEEE, PMI etc. Would those qualify as organizations or are they referring to something else here and I should just write 'No'.

Please advise. Thanks!

They are looking for subversive, terrorist, totalitarian, and Un-American affiliations. Put down everything.

See how omitting things caused problems for this guy: http://www.slideshare.net/BigJoe5/hajro-v-barrett-uscissfr-n400-appeal-granted-3212012

Ultimately, he was found to be OK, but what a hassle he went through! Avoid such problems.

I am also an IEEE member and I listed it.
I did not list things like church membership, museum membership..

I am also an IEEE member, MMA, TMS and a few other professional organizations. I mentioned all of them and gave web links. I also mentioned that I am member of St Louis Art Museum, but I did not put AAA in the application. I do not think this would affect my application, right?
