Affidavit of Support

If you are living in the US and are currently employed, do you need to fill out an Affidavit of Support (Form I-864)? Can you replace it by a declaration from your employer?

I-864 is for family immigration. DV immigrants need I-134 affidavit. If they are in the US already with legal employment, chances are they won't need an affidavit.

My husband got a document with his company's letterhead that says: this letter is to confirm that XXXX is currently employed by our company in the position of XXXXX. This is a full time position with an annual salary of XXXX.
