Advanced parole approval?

I am waiting for my wife's AP approval. It was filed with TSC on June 24th, 2008. Mine was filed on the same date and is approved. My friend who applied 1 month after us has it approved.
I filed a Expediation request and she said an IO will be assigned by Aug 10th and a decision will be made by 15th..

We had bought tickets for her to travel on 15th August.. I dont even know how many days/weeks I should postpone the tickets.

Any suggestions?

It is advisable not to book tickets unless you have AP in your hand, nothing else. Postpone the ticket the way you like till you get the AP required to return back with
 
Advanced Parole

It is funny,
I was checking the status online like 10 times a day. Today all of a sudden, we got the AP for my wife by DHL express from USCIS Texas center. The online case status is still pending.
I wonder if the expediate request I had submitted on Thursday had anything to do.

how did you file the expediate request?. just call the CSR and request for it?. dont you need to submit supporting docs?
 
Expedite request approved

I had applied to expedite AP at TSC . Yesterday I called up for checking the status, today I see online status as APPROVED and mailed :).


I am supposed to fly this Sat. and hope to receive the AP in hands by then
 
Expediate request

To expediate the AP request:
I called up the 1800 number on the USCIS office and the officer took all the information required to expediate the request. My reason was that I already have tickets (non refundable). I dont know if that did it..

Another problem?
But the USCIS messed up my Advanced Parole. I have received it but the Date Issued on the AP is October 26, 2008. My travel date is Oct 23rd 2008 (returning on Nov 15, 2008). Doesnt it give the impression that the AP would be approved while I was out of India?

My lawyer said take a printout of the USCIS status page (which says we approved the case and mailed to you on Aug 02, 2008) and the AP , I should be fine

Am I making too much of something small? I just hate to be receiving RFE when the 485 application has a shot..

Mine was applied in TSC on Mar 2008 and still no approval.
