Hi,
I've had my interview in early April 2007 in London. Today I received the following reply from Embassy regarding my security clearence status:
"Your application is subject to further review because the interviewing officer was unable to eliminate you as a match to an individual who is ineligible to receive a visa.
In such cases, the officer is required by law to submit the individual application for interagency review. Until this review is complete, we are unable to issue a visa.
However, as the review process involves multiple agencies, neither we nor the Department can suggest when we will receive permission to proceed with the application. This review cannot be waived."
Has anybody experienced the same problem (or knows somebody with this situation)?
I wonder if it is possible to ask embassy to expedite my clearence as we are closing to the Sep deadline?
I'm so disappointed now & I think this is the end for me!
I appreciate any help.
