Address Change did not work

I changed my address by calling the USCIS National line and also by sending a AR-11 form. When i went for my FP they still had my old address. Later on when i checked with the guy at my old address, i found out that my FP Notice was sent there. Thank God that they sent a copy to my Lawyer. USPS mail forwarding, which usually works OK, did not work for me as well.

Your LUD for the pending case should have changed if they changed the address.

If LUD is not changed and you did not get the confirmation letter form them then call again.

Thanks

Thanks

Just to confirm what GivemeGeeCee said, it took me a while to get all of our addresses changed (myself, wife, 2 kids). Each time, when I was finally successful, the LUD changed (for my wife and kids the message also changed to "we responded to your request..." or something like that) and we eventually (within about 30 days) received a notice confirming the change.

If you are doing multiple cases, try to get the person you speak with to file a separare request for each case -- apparently this is more likely to work than to file a single request with multiple cases on it...

LUD changed twice for 140 and 485

LUD changed twice on 8/11 and 8/12. I presumed that would be for address change. for some reason it did not work. I think USPS will not forward the mail that has specific instructions on them. I am guessing something like Do Not Forward. I don't know though.
