I'm thinking of changing my job.
140 approved. more than 2 yrs 485 pending. I guess I'm good on that front.

It's just that the new job I'm planning falls in a different service center. Will that be a big issue?

another question is will changing the language I work in ( eg : C++ to SAP ) cause any problems. I'll still maintain my job title as 'Software ENgineer' ..

Thanks for your inputs..

Thanks,

USCIS dont care about job title. They care about Same/similar job duties. if your new employer permanent job offer letter has the same/similar job duties written on it then I dont see any problem.

Ac-21 ????

I have joined my client as a permanent and left the consulting company who did my green card processing. I am on EAD with PD Sep/2002 EB3 (India).
My I-485 is pending for 9-10 months now and I-140 was approved in 2006.

My lawyer is suggesting to do "nothing" as far as AC-21 is concerned.

BUT I am reading on these forums "filing" AC-21 and all .... do I need to do anything as i just joined my client last week on my EAD status?

This is what my attorney wrote when i asked him if he needs a letter on my new employer's letter head stating that I am now employed by them:

"You don't even need that until you get a USCIS approval letter and go
in for your passport stamp"

"There is nothing to file for AC21. Your new employer just has to be
willing to do a support letter for you should you be called in for an interview
by the INS before your green card is issued."

Thanks, rucshaca.
