AC21 Portability Question 2

Say for example if at the time of labor you were working as an UNIX administrator, and if you are now working in Java, would that cause a problem using AC21?

One cannot keep working on the same skill set when the labor was applied with this economic situations? Correct me if I am wrong.

As long as he works in Computer Industry would that help?

What position was your LC filed for? Was it for the position of programmer analyst or a software engineer or was it for the position of Unix admin?
You need to read it and understand how your job duties are described therein.
Your new job description should match the job description in your Labor application as closely as possible.

This is something I'd like to know more about also.

I suspect that if your LC was done for a "Software Engineer" then at a minimum you would have to continue working in a job which would still fall under that catagory. Your salary would also have to remain similar although there can be variations due to local cost of living changes, regular raises etc. as far as I know.

Beyond that I don't know. As you say, if your original LC was done specifically for a Java expert does it matter if you switch to a job where you work in C++? I could be wrong but I don't see that the *generic* "tools" that you use to do your job would matter that much. On the other hand, if they wanted someone with X years of experience with a very specific tool (e.g. experience developing games with the Unreal engine), I'd guess (perhaps incorrectly) that if you were no longer doing this in the new job then you might not qualify under AC-21?

This is just speculation on my part -- I'd love to know more about the degree to which the original / new jobs have to match...

I spoke with my friend it looks like his LC was a system engineer..Does the code given in LC suffice, I mean for example if the code is something like S0E7234, which is a software engineer/system engineer/or any computer related stuff and our new job is something that falls under any of the above category that would be OK too... Isnt it?
