Hello All,

does anyone here know the answer to this one:

What are my options if the current employer does not provide me with copies of:
1) Approved LC
2) Approved I 140
3) I 485 receipt.

Can a lawyer still file for AC21 without these documents ?
Will there be any problems ?

What are FOIA and G28 ?

Appreciate any comments.

You can get all these from USCIS through FOIA. The process is as follows: http://uscis.gov/graphics/aboutus/foia/request.htm

There can be problems as you don't know what was the job description on ur LC and the salary range on it. So, the job description u send for the new position may or may not match ur description on LC

What are FOIA and G28 ?

FOIA: Freedom of Information Act - Can get any non-confidential document from any Govt agency including USCIS

G-28: Form u filled in to confirm that the attorney is representing u in the case.

goodluck!

Hello AB,

Thanks for your reply.

If the salary for the new job is reduced by about 15 to 18%..Is this a cause for concern ?
Do you think this could be an issue with I 485 ?
Thanks again.
