Guys,

I am working with company ABC inc. and they have filled for my GC in sep 2001. Got labor cleared in June 2003. Filed I-140 and I-485 concurrently in Dec. 2003. Got EAD in April 2004 and I-140 approved in Sep. 2004.
Now I want to change my employer.
How should I do it?
Does the new employer has to hire me on the same skill set?
What could be the salary difference in percentage terms?

How should I do it?
----- join new employer and inform him before you join that you will need a future Permanent job offer letter from them( they can give you once you join or after 1-2 months) once you get AC21 letter signed by new employer you can send your Intent change letter+ new employer job offer letter+ I-485 filing reciept copy and mail it to USCIS service center where your I-485 is pending. your new company lawyer can also help you to draft the AC21 letter
Does the new employer has to hire me on the same skill set?
---- it has to be same/similar ( it does not matter if they dont match100% if they match 70-80% that is OK)
What could be the salary difference in percentage terms?
---- Salay or location is not mentioned in AC21 MEMO, Salary can be more or less it does not matter

*** before you leave your present employer if possible try to take copy of approved LC from lawyer or employer, your I-485 reciept and I-140 approval notice copy.
