5.5 hours in total with a super professional translator,
including:
- 1.30 hours of going through i589 to update information
- 3:30 hours of interview based on my case
- 0:30 min - closing/security-related questions including family

I was almost first in and last out that day

If all questions were properly answered and no tricky questions were asked then 1 hour is perfect. Asylum officer has quota every day to interview at least 2-3 cases. So if you started at 11:00am then I wouldn’t be surprised if they finished your interview around 12:00pm.

they will make a easy case easy pass before lunch time.
