I am currently working on H1B visa and hope to apply for GC through my employer. In the meantime, I need to get my passport stamped with my H1B visa and plan to go to Canada for it and not my home country. As my whole family are already residents of US, I have no more 'strong ties' to my home country. Now, do I need to produce a proof of ties to my home country like property or bank account? I do not have any such. Please let me know if this is a problem.
