In my H1-B visa, I have a A#. However, When I apply for I-485, I was assigned another A# in my EAD and travel document. Is that normal, or should i call to correct it?

when you are asked to enter A# on any of ur GC documents enter the one listed on your 485 receipt which should be same as EAD and AP.

The A# related to your I-1485 application including your EAD and AP is your permanent A#. The one on your H-1B and the one on your student EAD or OPT (if you had previously) is your temporary A#. These two numbers are different. But I-485 A# is the number you should use from now on whenever you fill any GC-related documents. Hope this helps.

----------- I dont think H1 approval or H1 visa stamp has A#. did you or anybody in past applied any immigrant petition in Past before your H1??
