A question about visa stamping

Hi there,
I have a question,My H-1 and my spouse H-4 visa expired in September 2002,we got extension but we didn`t send for stamping.I just now realised that we cann`t send it to St.Luois for stamping because it is more than an year.Do we have any time restriction to get our visa stamping?What is best option for us?

--- No, you need Passport Visa stamp to re-enter US, you can stay in US till the time I-94 is valid for stay or work the visa stamp is not needed
What is best option for us?
---- When you visit your home country get Visa stamped

Thanks for your response.
I have one more question on H visas.My H-1 6 year period is going to expire year.My wife recently got H-1 Visa.Can I convert to H-4 visa after my H-1 6 year expiration?

NO. You cannot convert to h4 because the total time allowed for H visa (h1 & h4 together) is 6 years.
