A question about H1-B 7yr after filed I-485

Hi Guys,

I am filing I-485 with my wife and she is the major applicant and I am the dependent. I only have I-485 filing information and don't have I-140 approval.

My H1-B will reach 7th year. Could I still need renew H1-B or I have to change to EAD? How often do I need to renew it?

----- Your wife is Primary and you will file your Derivative I-485 and derivative dont need I-140. your wife I-485 may be based on LC and I-140.

---if you have LC for you filed and LC pending more than 1 year then your employer can file H1 extension for you.
Or you can also file for EAD when file your derivative I-485 and will get EAD based on pending I-485 and can use EAD.

** you should post YOUR full case details if any LC or I-140 is/was also filed for you as Primary so that we can post other options for you
