did the A# number still the same for people granted Green card?
I would assume so. Why, you want to change it? is it A-666-13-000 or something? heh.

well,I'm just curious..
on one hand, same people experience delays during citizenship because the officer have to order the second A# file before granting citizenship..technically the officer need to close down any existent A# prior approving citizenship..
on the other hand , If an asylee have another A# number after adjustement of status..that mean the first A#number (asylum number) remain open..
and this how green card holder based on asylum case still samehow under asylum definition and consequences...
so any immigration officer can have access in your both files
.

From my understanding of your wording, your first post asks the question whether the A# is a new number on your green card or if it is the same number given to you with theasylum grant. If that is not the question, maybe try to word it differently because that is what your post implies. Anyway, if that is the queston you are asking, I have not heard or read that they put a new A# on the GC, so I don't know for sure but I assume it is the same A#. But if you have heard/read about it, I would be curious to read the links. If there are posters who already got their GC and are still reading this part of the forum, they may give you the answer you need. Does anyone who got their GC still hang out in these quarters of the forum?

Its the same on the card.

Yes the alien number stays for life until you become a citizen.

Some people have more than one alien number because of administrative errors.
