My I-90 timeline

Dear friends

My GC is expiring in Aug and I plan to file an I-90. I am currently outside of the U.S for a 1-month vacation and will be back after one more month. I have 3 questions.

1) Can I e-file while I am outside of the country?
2) Will it ask me to make an appointment with the local INS during the
process of e-filing? Or the appointment request will appear on the physical
receipt?
3) Can I pay using credit card or personal check?

-------------------- you have to go for fingerprinting and Photograps at ASC when you get the notice
Or the appointment request will appear on the physical
receipt?
3) Can I pay using credit card or personal check?
-------with efiling one can pay with credit card

May 11 FP
May 19 Approved
May 24 Card Ordered
May 29 Card received

I have to say, USCIS is very effective.
