Here's an interesting one. No tricks but it does involve lateral
thinking. As (predominantly) engineers, I bet many of you (me included)
will come up the answer of two trips.
But it can be done in only one trip. It's interesting how we think about
puzzles/problems - specifically how we tend to frame them in our domain.
Okay, here's the puzzle:
You are in the basement of a strange house. There are three
light switches, A, B, and C. These light switches are connected
to light bulbs in three rooms upstairs.
How many times do you have to flip a switch(es) and make a trip
upstairs to work out which switch is wired to which bulb?
