Hi! I researched this forum and searched the internet but was unable to find a direct answer to my questions. Hope you guys can help me.
I am a derivative asylee coming from one country. My wife is a principle asylee coming from a different country.I got my status through relative petition that was sent by my wife after she got her status.
Now my wife and i both have green cards. The questions are:
Will I lose my green card if I divorce her? to be more precise I am a green card holder based on derivative asylee (my country of citizenship is different from my wife's country which she claimed COP), so I cant do nunc pro tuc and claim my own asylum and start my own process to get a green card. And I can't wait till I become a citizen (to file an application for citizenship, means 3 more years to wait for me )
How about the citizenship application? will they deny it just becuse i divorced my wife???
