My passport was stamped in 10/27/04 in Kansas City, MO regional office.
I haven't received the card yet from Nebraska Service Center.
I have changed my address with Nebraska once. I even sent 2 inquiry forms about my card. Last week i went in with an Infopass to a Kansas City office and the officer told me to keep waiting.
Is this unusual?
What if my stamp expires and I still don't get the card.

Thank you for all your help

I changed the address with USINS, and then I got approved for my I-751 in my local Boston office without interview. I brought pictures and the letter, and then the officer stamped my passport and told me to wait for GC up to 12 months.

Before this approval I changed my address again, since moved back to Rhode Island, still got approved in MA.

Anyway, 12 months over, I scheduled an appointment this Friday... but just was wondering why it take them so long to process a simple card...

So, 7 months is nothing... :)

Hi Natella --

What did you do to change your address? Did you just sent the AR-11 form or did you call the INS 800 number as well.
Please let me know how your appointment goes.
I will also keep you informed about my case changes.

------------ sending form AR11 is required by Law, it does not change your address on pending petitions with USCIS, you need to call NCSC 1-800 and also need to write to service center with your name, DOB, A# pending case/ petition#, your past address and your NEW address, out side the envelope: ATTN: Address change fore pending............. mail the letter with certified return reciept ( also keep the copy of each letter, signed by you that you mail.
form or did you call the INS 800 number as well.

Liana, I just sent the AR-11 form while I-751 was pending. Then Vermont center moved my case to Boston, and sent me the letter, that interview would be scheduled. After one week I got the letter from Boston center, standing that I was granted Permanent Residency.

Then, after one week I went to Boston and gave them my pictures, they stamped the passport with a note about removing conditions. It was on July 14, 2004. They told me to wait up to 12 months. Unfortunately, I don't remember if they took my signature and fingertips or not.

Yesterday, I called to INS and first person did not have an access to the computer with my Alient #, but then he transfered me to another person, and second person forwarded the call to the INS officer. The officer was really nice. He found my information by A# in the system and told me that my infor was updated and according to it, my I-751 was approved, but the file is still in the local Boston office. So, I got InfoPass and will meet an officer tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the officer on the phone could not clarify what was the problem.

Wish me luck and I will update you tomorrow evening after appointment in INS.

G-731

To change the address and to inquire about the status of my card, I filled out G-731 form from the INS website.
I included all of the information about my case inlcuding a copy of the approval notice.
But I haven't heard anything back.
I never sent my old address with my inquiries. Do you think this might be an issue?
