7th year extension rules

Hi,

I still haven't filed my PERM ever. My H1B is expiring after 6 yr in Aug 2009. I cannot extend it beyond that unless I file a PERM before Aug 2008. My current employer A cannot file for my PERM until Aug 08. I am trying to find a consultant company B who can do my PERM filing before June 2008 on future employment basis. My question is - can I ask my current employer A to file for an extension of my H1 right after the consultant company B files my PERM or do I have to wait for couple of months after PERM filing to file an H1B extension application? Also, is there any rule which can stop me from filing for H1B extension so many months (12+ months) before the actual expiry in Aug 2009? Please reply to these questions because the answers are vital to my survival in USA.

Thanks
Pranav

The start date of H1 must be within 6 months from the filing date.
A can file extension based on B's LC.
